Creating the Perfect Games Room in Fleetwood

In 2019, our client approached us after being recommended by an existing customer to design a gaming cabin that meets the maximum limit set by permitted development rights. The client agreed to a cabin size of 7m x 4.25m, keeping the structure within the 2.5-meter height limit. Our team worked closely with the client to create a bespoke design that was perfect for their needs.

Construction Materials

Our team utilised solid 68mm logs and heavy-duty 28mm floorboards to create a sturdy structure that could last for years. The sleek and modern 18mm double-glazed windows provided the perfect amount of natural light to illuminate the cabin, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The open-plan layout was essential to house the snooker table, darts board, and a comfortable seating area for guests to relax and unwind.

Timber Frame Base and Deck Area

As the client's garden was uneven, we recommended a timber frame base to support the cabin structure. This base provided a stable foundation and allowed for flexible construction on any terrain. We also added a small 1-meter deck area to the front and side aspects of the cabin, which provided the perfect space for guests to enjoy the outdoors while playing games and socialising. However, the client was so impressed with the finish that they requested an extension of the decking area to cover most of the existing lawn. We happily obliged and added visually stunning LED lights to create a gorgeous feature. To preserve the natural timber colour, we used clear Osmo satin oil.

Project Completion

We also insulated the floor and roof to create a perfect all-year-round cabin. The project took us a week to complete; however, with the extension of the decking area, it took two weeks. Overall, the results speak for themselves, and we're thrilled to have created a space that our client can enjoy for years to come.
