Bramhall Log Cabin Build Update
It's been awhile since we've given an update on the Bramhall log cabin build, but we're happy to report that progress is proceeding swimmingly! The cabin is looking mighty fine, and we're on track to have everything completed within the next few weeks. In the meantime, enjoy these pictures of our progress thus far. (More to come once everything is painted and the laminate flooring is installed!)
Phase 1: Foundation and Flooring
The first step in any good timber building is to lay a strong foundation. Fortunately, the soil in Bramhall is ideal for supporting a log cabin. We started by excavating the area where the cabin will sit, then poured concrete footings to provide a solid base for the walls. Once the foundation was set, we began work on the floor. We decided to go with a laminate flooring that would add a touch of elegance to the space
Phase 2: Walls and Roofing
With the flooring in place, it was time to start work on the walls. We used traditional logs for the walls, which were cut and milled specifically for this project. Once the logs were in place, we added insulation to keep things warm in winter and cool in summer. Finally, we installed the roofing materials. We went with a metal roof because it's durable and low-maintenance
Phase 3: Finishing Touches
Now that the major structural elements are in place, it's time for the finishing touches! We'll be painting the exterior of the cabin and adding some nice landscaping around it. Then it'll be time for move-in day! We can't wait to see what our clients do with their new space
Conclusion
We're excited to report that the Bramhall log cabin build is coming along nicely! We should be finished up within the next few weeks, at which point we'll share more pictures of the finished product. Stay tuned!
